The Contract Finder can be accessed from the Back Office Menu. It can also be accessed directly from the Sell screen by pressing the in the bottom of the screen.
In Scrap Dragon 3.2.1 and later versions, the Contract Finder can be used to find contracts by customer and by document in the same screen. Click on Contract Finder from the Sell Menu.
1 | Search by Document Number Field-This field allows you to search by document number. It does not have to be filled out to use the Contract Finder, but can be filled in with a document number to locate a specific contract. | |
2 | Additional Search Criteria-The "Include Finished?", "Include Voided?", and "TransfersOnlyLabel?" are additional criteria you can set to find a contract. When checked, "Include Finished?" will include finished contracts in your search results, while "Include Voided?" will include voided contracts in your search results. "TransfersOnlyLabel?" when checked will show only Yard-to-Yard Transfers. | |
3 | Search Filters-Additional filters can be used to narrow down the search results. These filters allow you search for only Contracts, specific invoices, specific shipments, packing lists, or specific inventory tags. | |
4 | Show All Button-This button will Show All contracts (or shipments, invoices, packing lists or inventory tags depending on the filter) that match the search criteria you set. For example, if you select "Include Finished?", to view all Finished Contracts in your search results, you would click "Show All". This button will also Show All contracts for your yard if no additional criteria are selected. | |

Customer Lookup-Customer Name can be selected from the drop down "Customer Name" drop down menu on the left, while Customer Number can be selected from the "Customer Number" drop down menu to the right. Filling out these fields before clicking the "Add Contract" Button will automatically fill them in the newly created contract. Clicking the Customer Lookup Button will open a "Select a Customer Screen" where you search for customers and add new customers (see below).

6 | Add Contract Button-Clicking this button will allow you to create a new contract and open the Edit Contract Screen. From this screen you can input all information required for the contract. | |
7 | Contract Information Area-The columns on the Contract Finder screen display information about each contract such as the Description, Ship to, Bill to, Status, number of shipments, and Material. In the Details column when this icon is displayed, you can click it and it will show you the Material Details box. This will show you the Material, the amount ordered and the amount shipped, as well as the balance. When the details icon appears with a red "Over"tag above it, that means the balance does not accurately reflect the amount ordered and amount shipped. This tag will tell you the number of commodities that appear as being "Over", so in the example above 1 material is Over, but it is possible you will see details icons with "2 Over" or "3 Over" tags. | |
8 | Yards Filter-This area of the screen allows you to select the Yard you'd like to view contracts for. You can check off the name of specific yards in your company, or you can click the Select All Yards button. To view only your home yard, click the Home Only button. | |
Add Shipment Button-Clicking this button will add a shipment to an existing contract directly from the main contract finder page. Clicking it will open the New Shipment page. You can view information about the New Shipment page here. | ||
Edit Contract Button-Clicking this button will open the Edit Contract screen and allow you to edit the details of the existing contract. | ||
Duplicate Contract Button-Clicking this button will open the New Contract screen pre-filled with all the information from the Contract you wish to Duplicate. |
